Abstract

Exercise not only keeps a healthy body, but prevents disease, maintains good mental health and can encourage social engagement. In this first article, Dawn Skelton and Susie Dinan examine the evidence supporting these claims and the importance of active ageing, believing that you are never too old to start exercising.
